3rd to 8th August

Two items of big news:

Our team beat Rochdale on 3rd August, at home, with the amazing score of 8–0. This gave us hope of a high finish in the NWMGA league, but events unfolded a week later.

Captain’s Prize 2021 at Whitefield was postponed due to an unplayably wet golf course, on Sunday 8th August.

I had tried to play some golf with friends, on the Saturday morning, it was pretty moist, and the the holes were filling with water, half full by 10am. The rain continued and was very heavy that evening and overnight.

Date was set for the 12th September, we need to use this date to have the clubhouse available for the buffet and presentation.
