22nd September Golf Society at Warrington GC

Single round meeting with friends and colleagues David Reeves, Steve Emmett and Phil Wander. We played in sunshine, it was a little cooler today.

Varied skill levels of golf were on display, we all have good and bad holes. Phil was scoring steadily and he became the winner overall with 37 pts on the yellow tees, in a field of 16.

A few 2s were scored, including two by Kate Hilton.

The course has an interesting layout on a hill south of Warrington itself, with fast greens and many run off areas. As visitors unfamiliar with the pace, on too many occasions our chip shots ran off the green, as did some good approach shots.

My score of 31 points allowed me to return home with a box of chocolates. Cheers!
