10th September Friendly fourball

A friendly game on a sunny afternoon at Whitefield.

My guest today, Martin Georgeson, a member of Ormskirk GC, he’s a friend of mine from a golf society, he had met Lionel Levine and knows Richard Zoltie so we got together for this friendly game.

Taken from the clubhouse balcony with the first hole in the background

Featured hole – I celebrated an eagle 2 on the 8th. My 3 wood left me 115 yards from the green, I knew I’d hit my nine iron sweetly as it flew through the air, it landed about 10 feet from the hole, took a couple of bounces, turned right and rolled in.

Lionel and I were partners and slotted in well, gradually built a lead, 3 up after 9, lost a couple then won 13th, 14th and 15th to close out the match.
